Alright, the hard part’s over. You got your tickets, you know where you’re going, travel plans have been made. This is happening. You’re going to a music festival this weekend!
You got this. But just to double-check that you haven’t forgotten any of the essentials, here are some tips to help make sure that when the beat drops, your weekend stays on track.
Take shelter from the sun. 🏖
Hat, shades, sunscreen, you know the deal.
Be ready for the rain. ☔
Opposite of above. See: ponchos, re-sealable plastic bags, something dry, and something warm.
Dress to dance. 👗
Bonus points if you can both look good and feel comfortable. Double bonus points if you can check off those first two boxes while also rocking something that makes you stand out in a crowd.
Keep your feet flip-flop-free. 👟
Your feet will thank you. Just think of the festival as a standing/dancing marathon. Oh, and while you’re at it, consider making some DIY mud boots with a couple plastic bags and some tape.
Stay hydrated (with water). 💧
Do: bring a water bottle. Don’t: bring an empty bottle of Inception Irresistible White filled with water.
Eat. Eat. Repeat.
Wet wipe it all away. 💦
It might not quite leave you feeling shower-clean, but wet wipes can go a long way in helping you feel a bit more human in a pinch. And hey, if you end up stuffing your face with ribs, guess who came prepared!
Stay charged up. 🔋💯
Mentally, physically, and electronically. A good night’s sleep and a portable charger should keep you hovering near 100%. And if you’re staying overnight, don’t forget the toiletries and a good set of earplugs.
Take it all in. 👀
Definitely capture some moments for the ‘gram, but don’t forget to take in some memories the old-fashioned way as well.
Have a blast. 😎
And as with all things, don’t forget to live life responsibly.
